Blechnum occidentale, Hammock Fern

Striking salmon-pink new fronds in spring age to medium green. Spreading by rhizomes, this fern can become a lovely colony. Cut old fronds back to the base in fall or midwinter to freshen the plant and highlight the colorful new fronds.
